Following the footsteps of his mentors like Chick Corea, George Duke, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Lorber, Ramsey Lewis, Funkadelic, Parliament, Eddie Palmieri, Papo Lucca, Stevie Wonder, and Santana, the former Polygram Latino Recording Artist / seasoned Keyboard "Ace" Noel Torres delivers a blend of powerful performances time after time taking his music and performances to higher levels. Whether performing with his own band or other at a local club or a concert arena, the desire to communicate musically to an audience is evident. Bringing to life the Keys that lay on his multiple Keyboard set-up and at times surprising his audience as he takes charge on Timbales. On keyboards, using sounds that are appropiate to the musical arrangements, and at times being creative aswell to make a perfect blend of imagination, interpretation and improvisation are important to him. For example, playing latin-jazz allows me the freedom to express myself in a different musical way as percussion instruments like congas, timbale and bongos create an infectious rhythm combination that inspires my inner latin soul. When playing funk, the beat of a solid drummer and a bad-ass bass player locked in, inspire me to enhance the mood by laying down what is appropriate, and you might aswell hold me back! I grew up listening to Parliament, Funkadelic and more...therefore, whether playing in a top 40 band or a rock band, Noel is like a "Chameleon" always blending in. Throughout his career he has recorded with bands such as gospel group A Touch of God with their hit song " Yo se que hay un Dios " / Latin Pop Band Chakras with hit song "Ache" / Latin Orchestra La Progressiva with Hit Songs like "La Rumba De San Martin" / and Latin Orchestra Elemento 10 with their hit songs "Calientame" and "La Negrita" under Polygram latino Label. Working with Artists: Noel performed in Stuttgart Germany with singer superstar George McCrae (hit song Rock me Baby) and In Florida with female superstar Gwen McCrae (Rocking Chair). Played keyboards with Grammy Nominated Latin-Jazz Recording Artist Flute Great Nestor Torres in the island of Grenada at their annual Grenada Jazz Festival. Played Piano with the Joe Cuba Orchestra ( Hit Song "Bang Bang" and many others) at the Catskills, NY. Also, played piano with Puerto Rican Salsa singer "Orlando"and his Orchestra. ( hit song "LLorando"). Played piano at age 15 with Puerto Rico's own, Papa Candito's latin Orchestra and latin Orchestra Gigante from Adjuntas PR. Also, played multi keyboards with afro-cuban percussionist and former Island recording artist Daniel Ponce who recorded with Herbie Hancock with hits like "Rock IT". At age 17 Noel played Madison Square Garden at a Gospel concert that gave him a taste of the big stage as he played his Fender Rhodes electric piano and Moog Prodigy Synth. Noel has appeared in music videos with Latin Superstars such as Elemento 10, The late Salsa singer Mega Star Frankie Ruiz, and Latin Artist soulful singer Angel Lopez from Son By Four, which were viewed by an international latin audience through the spanish television networks Univision and Telemundo. Toured the following countries: USA, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Bahamas, Grenada, Jamaica, Germany, Paris France, Geneva Switzerland, Holland Amsterdam. Performed with local Florida bands: Derek Mack Band, Santana Tribute Band, EJ & Company, Bobby Pruitt, Richard Medel, Gary King, Ike & Valerie Woods, Evolution, Jennifer C, Cool Breeze and others. I was also personally hired to set-up Keyboards for Grammy Award Winning superstar Stevie Wonder. This is a service that I provide "only to exclusive artists" as it gives me a chance to provide them personal care, set-up and handling of their expensive equipment.
